"What's in it for me?" is a day that provides an opportunity for participants to gain skills and techniques in dealing with the world of work.

Topics covered include: preparing a CV, applying for a job, interview techniques, confidence building, and employees' rights. Each participant will also have the opportunity to have a practice interview, with a de-brief afterwards and a written report. Those who come on the day are asked to dress formally, as they attend the day as delegates.  Each participant takes home with them a professionally typed CV and a copy of it on disc for them to work on later.

The day is principally aimed at young people who may have specific learning needs or may need extra practical advice or help and support in facing the world of work.

Young people who come are asked to dress formally, as the day is run in conference style and the young people attend as delegates.

Arrangements:   Thursday, May 22nd 2008, 10am - 3.30pm.  £8 including lunch.
(note this replaces Wednesday April 16th, which had to be cancelled because the Easter holidays happened then).
