There are two leadership programmes for
those who may be taking up leadership roles in the sixth form. This page also serves
as an outline for possible programmes which can be run in individual schools, where the
number of young people needing this training is too many to come to one of our programmes. This is a five day residential programme for students who are likely to be asked to take up leadership roles in school, including potential head boys or head girls, prefects, sports captains, and leaders of other groups.. The course encourages the students to reflect on issues of power, authority and responsibility, and helps them to develop useful skills for leadership, including confidence, assertiveness, counselling skills, and public speaking. They also deal with problems they may face as leaders - including bullying and conflict. Students from a variety of schools will attend the programme allowing participants to share ideas and experiences with others. School staff are welcome to visit at any time, but are not required to be present throughout the week. More detailed information about these programmes is available. Arrangements |
