Programmes based on these ideas can be arranged specially for your school or other group, on our premises or yours.

A day for students in years 9 - 11 wishing to develop strategies to deal with the issue of bullying. It would be of benefit both to those students in positions of responsibility who may have to deal with bullying as an issue as well as those who have experienced being bullied themselves.

Through discussion, drama, role-play and case studies we will look at what bullying is and the various forms it takes. We will explore the reasons behind why the bully bullies and look at practical ways to challenge it.

Sessions will cover assertiveness, self-respect, conflict resolution and confidence building.

We will identify action steps in dealing with bullying and look at where and how to find support.

Choices of activities and workshops during the day will be suitable for those who are experiencing bullying, or for those who are in a leadership role who can help to combat it.

There will be the opportunity to meet people from other schools and share experiences and ideas for older students taking an active role in school to support younger students.

Arrangements

This programme is not on our timetable at the moment.  The above is intended to give a possible outline of a programme on bullying for schools and other organisations who may wish to have such a programme in their own institutions.
